you shine a light ::: illuminating the thought of trying to survive the next week the next day the next afternoon and evening and how a compounding pressure like that pushes and pulls on you like taffy and begets incurable depression and lawless anxiety and amorphous miseries that creep under our skin and the skin of our peers and of our colleagues and our friends who simply crave a life of ease and joy and slivers of happiness amidst an unconvincing and manufactured normality of rapacious profit syphoned from us for generations for those lucky few who’ve pulled the ladder up decades ago only to blame us for the darkness in which we now sit while we watch people we care about struggle to make rent and afford groceries that cost strange prices raised on the whims of a current system that fundamentally cannot connect to a shared reality of work and of time and of a burgeoning rattle of industries and of people long overdue for the fairness and the justice due to them in the realization of your peers and your colleagues organizing the labor that toils you thin until you reignite the thought to become stronger together to rediscover a courage for boundaries on your time that your fathers and their fathers before them summoned to carry into the next day and into the next week so that ever so small a step it may seem at a glance but the matter of irrevocable prosperity cannot truly be given to those that have stolen it from you in cycles but how it is to be given back to you who’ve been earning it from the first day you sweated for someone else and we can say it from deep within us that a fairness in our value can be realized once again as it has been many times before :::
